Ernest Hemingway Biography
He was an adventurer, and an outdoors man; he is known for novels such as “A Farewell to Arms”, and “The old Man and the Sea.” Ernest Hemingway came into the world on July 21, 1899. From an early age, he developed a passion for the outdoors; this would benefit him well when he became a writer. Upon completion of High school in 1917, Hemingway decided to go into journalism. after a few months in journalism, he decided to join the Ambulance corps in Italy. After a short time there, Hemingway was wounded and in Jan 1919 was released from service. Once released from service, he decided to become a journalist for a Canadian newspaper. in 1921, after working for the Toronto Star, Hemingway was convinced by a close friend to move to Paris. Once he arrived in Paris as a foreign corespondent, he was befriended and mentored by some of the foremost writers of that time such as Ezra Pound and others. Hemingway lived in Paris until he re-married in 1927, when he married, the couple decided to make the United States home once again. Over the years, Hemingway would marry four times and continue to write various novels and short stories. Though it all, Hemingway would continue to be the adventurer and writer he is know for today.
