Several of the yachting sect in the Coronado Cays today, gathered together in the middle of the channel by the Coronado Cays Yacht Club to tie their ships together for one of the clubs Raft Up.

The local blog, Live In Coronado dot com, captured on video some of the early moments of this raft up. In a raft up, boaters line up so close to each other that they can literally jump over to the boat next door. They then take turns (usually in a inflated ship to shore dinghy with a small outboard motor) visiting each others yachts. There’s always plenty of food and drink and it’s really just a social gathering of like minded friends on the water.
