Why it’s imporant to perform regular system checks
One of the most common mistakes home security customers make is not checking their system regularly. In almost all of home security company contracts it states that the customer is responsible for performing a monthly system check. These checks are very simple to perform if you call customer service, but many customers don’t perform them and problems ensue.
By not performing regular system checks you have no way to be sure that your system is working properly. If you haven’t checked your system in months and your alarm goes off, but nothing happens the security company will deem that they are not at fault. By signing the contract you are agreeing to check your system regularly and if the system stops working then the security company will not compensate you for the time the system was out.
