I Thought I Could Handle Pressure Washing

I thought I could handle pressure washing my parent’s house last summer but I had my work cut out for me. I first rented a pressure washing unit and some scaffolding. I did a little research on some cleaners to use and went to a big box store to buy some. I started early on a Saturday morning. Right aways I could see the mildew was not coming off no matter how hard I hit it with pressure and regardless of the strength of the cleaner I used. It was supposed to be diluted but I used it straight and it was still pretty worthless. I could not get anymore pressure out of the pressure washer so I went to buy a brush with an extension pole attached to it. This was way more work than I had planned on. I was hoping to be done with it by Saturday afternoon sometime but by that evening I had only gotten one side done. Pressure washing the house was not fun at this point. It was like a choir and the couple hundred dollars my Dad was paying me was no longer worth it to me. I struggled though it for two more weekends and finally got it done. It looked okay but not spectacular. I will never do any pressure washing as long as I live, I will leave it to a professional.
