How much does a medical transcription job pay?

So, I started poking around the internet today searching for a Medical Transcription Job. Just out of curiosity, nothing more. It’s a growing industry and if you’re trained, you have a good shot at getting a job. And if you ever got tired of the medical field, you could probably take those same skills and work as a court reporter or some other field. You can make pretty good money too. The middle 50% of transcriptionists make just above $30K. That’s not too bad. But if you’re really good, you can make more like $45K a year. For a job that lets you work business hours and does not require graduate school or anything, that’s not bad money at all.
