Major corporations can afford several full time salaries for people who specialize in different areas.  One of these positions that major corporations have that smaller businesses can’t afford is CFO.  The chief financial officer prepares the financial statements for the business so the other employees don’t have to.  That is not the case for the small business owner.  Small business owners can feel overwhelmed with all the responsibilities thrust upon them because of their growing business.  When that happens, you should hire a part time cfo.  You can hire one to prepare the financial statements for you, but you only pay them on a part time basis.
